The search is over!! First I was greeted with a warm smile by the receptionist, Michelle.Then instead of being charged for something that might fix the problem, John, the owner, wanted to wait to get a more accurate diagnosis. I'm sure we have all experienced being charged for something to "fix"the problem only to have it reoccur and then pay for something else. Sound familiar? I've taken two of my cars there and John even gave me a loaner car to get around while my car was being serviced.Never had that before & I've been to quite a few places! Ed, one of the technicians there, was happy to answer my questions.We all look for a car technician that is honest, but some technicians honestly play too much guess work with our cars( and money).Here you get honest,competent & quality work he stands by.
This is, hands down, the best place to not only service your car but to replace it if needed with another. Our cars have never been as well cared for as they are now that they are serviced here. In the past, your car would break down, you'd go to a mechanic, fix it and wait for the next breakdown which you hoped wouldn't require a tow. Since our cars have been coming here for routine maintenance, the breakdown-tow experience has not happened! During the oil change, the car is mechanically checked front to back, including the tires. Any issues that are there are taken care of, as well as recommendations to what you're facing down the road that either needs to be fixed right away or perhaps can wait til next visit. We have purchased 3 used cars from John over the past 12 + years and all 3 are still going strong! John is an honorable man who truly cares that you are safe on the road. Diane, who runs the office, is as sweet as she is efficient. I dread the day he retires-I never worry about my cars as they are in the best hands.
Dont let all the 5 star reviews fool you. This place has earned them. I know, sometimes it seems like friends and family must do them because they cant ALL be good but seriously, this place was fantastic, super reasonable prices, friendly, fast, and one of the nicest waiting area's I have seen. Fixed my 98 subaru in less than two hours and it had nothing to do with what Google said was the problem. Seriously, a fantastic experience.
John and Eddie always work on our Subaru. We keep going back because they are fair and honest and trusting your mechanic is like trusting your doctor. Eddie took the time to locate a hard to find part for me (cosmetic) and found it right away after I tried for days. Much appreciated, all you guys do. I would recommend Kelemen, and do, to my friends and family.
Usually going to a mechanic/used car salesman is a horrifying experience. But not at John Kelemens shop. He does high quality work at very fair price. I recently bought 2 cars through him (no pressure) and walked out feeling that I got a great deal. My wife an I are on a very tight budget but for the first time in years I feel that my wife is driving a safe car and I'm not worried when she has to go somewhere. His quality work ethic is one of the greatest I've ever seen. He thoroughly diagnoses a car before servicing it so he know that the work he performs will fix the problem unlike other mechanics who just start guessing and putting parts on you car that had nothing to do with the problem and leaving you with a large bill. John is the only place I would have my vehicles serviced. John is an honest person who has become a good friend.
